Race Plate

The SoundHorse Race Plate is designed to reduce concussion for the racehorse. With a roller motion contour on the ground surface, this shoe helps alleviate stress on the hoof capsule and supports the lower limb's anatomical structures. This time-tested modification has been used for centuries to address common hoof distortions such as low heels and club feet, offering improved comfort and performance.

The Race Plate features a concave, heavily sloped ground surface that allows for ground penetration, absorbs shock, and improves traction, reducing stress on the hoof capsule. Its foot surface offers sole relief from the toe to beyond the seat of the corn, addressing a common area of soreness in equine athletes. Conventional shoes have a flatter ground surface, increasing the ground reaction force and stress on the hoof capsule. 

The tall toe clips, measuring ¾” high, make adding a pad to the SoundHorse Race Plate easy without forging or drawing the clip higher. If a pad is not desired, the clip can be easily shortened with a rasp or grinder.

The shoe also features a deeper crease that is perfectly designed to fit FJO, Liberty Race (3.5,4.5,5), Carrera (small, medium), Mustad JV, Delta RN (3.5,4.5), Capwell Race (3.5-5), and Capwell SB (4.5, 4.5 XL) hammerhead nails. This secure nail head fit enhances the stability of the nail, shoe, and hoof attachment, reducing the risk of loose clinches and wall damage.

 The Race Plate can be easily modified to fit most horses, with options to remove clips or enhance roller motion effects.
