The Sound Horse Morrison Roller Motion Series I shoe can be readily modified to accept a bar. The shoe is machined aluminum with a factory-built wedged urethane rim pad and it is easily cold-shaped in the field. In this photo, the farrier shows the tool that was used to remove the inner, angled edge of the urethane rim pad to provide a ½ inch mounting surface for the bar. A ½-inch, rabbeting router bit is used in a drill press set for high speed and the urethane is removed from the flat shoe plate in about 1 minute. The bar is then cut, fitted, drilled, tapped and installed.
